"The Wall"

I am always working to create art that evokes a sense of wholeness, of deep connections to the Earth, and of the Sacred nature of love. I started shooting rocks with the idea of creating an image evoking the ancient connection between women and Nature and the enduring quality of love. I rarely create color prints, but the rich red of these rocks was complelling. The print was created by layering six images. The layering of black and white images over color images formed spectacular turquoise and iridescent hues.

I brought out this limited edition for an exhibit in Provincetown. The final print was created digitally by an Iris printer. The vibrant pigment inks are sprayed onto archival Arches Fine Art Paper. The print is 20"x 24" with deckled edges. The edition is 50. Each print is signed and numbered on the front.


This image was part of the "Body Image:Explicit/Implicit" Exhibition at Leslie-Lohman Gallery in New York City last year.
